Abstract

|
Objectives: The purpose of this study is to investigate the clinical effect of Ankle Meridian Tendino-musculature Taping (MTT) on lateral ankle sprain.
Methods: 47 patients with lateral ankle sprain were randomized into two groups : Control group was practiced with 8-shape ankle taping treatment. MTT group was practiced with 8-shape ankle taping treatment with ankle Meridian Tendino-musculature taping. We investigated visual analogue scale(VAS) and ankle circumference(cm) for effect evaluation.
Results and Conclusions: The VAS score of Control group was statistically lower than Sample group between 1st and 4th treatment and the circumference measure was also lower than Sample group. So we may conclude that ankle Meridian Tendino-musculature taping treatment is recommendable of lateral ankle sprain.
